11 Easy & Healthy Breakfast Ideas

I'm not sure why I would never have considered the breakfast post. In fact, I'm sure why. That's because I always assume that breakfast is so easy that you don't need any help with it. But, let's face it, we can always use a few additional ideas for any meal.

You already know that I believe that healthy eating should be easy. Deciding what to eat and preparing food shouldn't take up a lot of time in your day.

But when looking specifically at breakfast, you really shouldn't be consuming much. During the week, most of us quickly eat breakfast together before heading to work (or even straight to the office in the other room), getting ready for exercise, walking the dog, etc. You don't have time to think too much about breakfast or make a luxurious one. And I don't want you to do that either.

To make breakfast as filling, I'd like to see what we can add to make it as balanced and satisfying as possible. I generally like breakfast to have 3 main ingredients: a protein source, a whole grain, and a fruit. This combination ensures that your breakfast provides you with protein + fiber, both of which are essential to help you stay full, and also helps you get some nutrients in the morning. With all of that in mind, here are 20 easy, healthy, balanced, and filling breakfast ideas so you don't have to wonder again what to make for breakfast:

1. Loaded yogurt container: Greek yogurt + whole grains + blueberries

Yogurt dishes are the best in terms of convenience. Add whole grains for a little fiber and top with berries and voila. Try yogurt with 2% or more for more filling and satisfying!

2. Avocado toast: whole wheat toast + crushed avocado + boiled egg

Avocado toast never fails. Mash the avocado and add a little lemon juice, salt and pepper. Place a hard-boiled egg or two on toast (you can make this ahead of time to save time!). It is complete and simple.

3. Strawberry oatmeal and oat cream: oatmeal + collagen powder + strawberry

I love making oatmeal with almond milk, unsweetened vanilla, and collagen. It's a great way to add more flavor and some protein too. You can add strawberries to this strawberry cream flavor, but any fruit will really work.

4. Cereals and milk: cereals + milk of your choice + banana slices

There is nothing better than a bowl of cereal and milk! Use cow's milk or soy milk for more protein, or you can even mix almond milk with collagen.

5. Tortilla and tostada: one tortilla + whole wheat toast + clementine

This may seem more complicated, but in reality, all you need is 5 minutes to prepare some tortillas. Add toppings of your choice (veggies, cheese, or just to go), plus some toast on the side and an easy fruit like clementine.

6. English Peanut Butter Muffin: Peanut Butter + English Muffin + Apple

Peanut butter on an English muffin never fails. Add some apple slices on top and sprinkle with cinnamon if you're feeling fancy. It is easy and satisfying.

7. Chocolate Banana Oatmeal

This is a breakfast to go, but if you take 20 minutes to prepare it one day, you will have that breakfast ready all week! Add some peanut butter to oatmeal for a little more protein ... plus, it's pretty tasty too.

8. Shakshouka: eggs + tomato sauce + crusty bread

I'm counting the ketchup as a fruit here, okay? We are looking for flexible and easy breakfasts, nothing too rigid! To prepare, add a little olive oil in a pan together with the tomato sauce, make a hole to break some eggs and let the eggs simmer until they are soft. Dip in crusty bread for the perfect breakfast.

9. Toasted waffles: waffle + peanut butter + banana slices

I have to be honest, this is one of my favorite breakfasts. And it couldn't be easier to do! Some of my favorite toast cakes are Vans and Kashi. Make sure to add a little more maple syrup on top. There are no dry waffles here!

10. Stuffed sweet potato: sweet potato + Greek yogurt + chopped apple

Make a sweet potato in your bowl and load it with the produce. The quick trick: wash, pierce, and microwave the potatoes for 8 minutes. Then slice it open, add some Greek yogurt, and top it with chopped apples and cinnamon.

11. Tofu Scramble: Tofu + Tomatoes + Whole Wheat Toast

Don't you like eggs? No problem. Stir the tofu in a skillet the same way as the eggs! Add some diced tomatoes (yes, count this as a fruit here again ... but feel free to add another fruit too!), Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and add some toast to the side.
